Operation Note of Raymond Mill

Raymond mill is the originator of powder grinding mill. It is the first official grinding equipment that came out the world, which brought a figure of endless surprises to people and promoted the rapid development of industrial production. During the operation of the Raymond mill, there are some operational considerations need to note, as follows:

1. Raymond mill is not suitable for grinding materials that contain too much iron slag and quartz. During production, any metals are forbidden to enter into the equipment. Find out and shut the equipment down immediately or metals will damage the grinding roller and grinding ring of Raymond mill.

2. Material feeding must be even and continuous. Do not feed suddenly many and suddenly less. Feeding too much will block the air flue, reducing the production and the motor is easy to burn out. Feeding not enough will cut back on production. The feed size: for hard materials, their diameter must be smaller than 15mm; for soft materials, their biggest diameter is 20mm. the bulk materials are forbidden entering into the equipment.

3. The adjustment of the air volume: the air controlling valve at the upper of the intake-tube generally is up to the maximum position. It can be adjusted properly according to the fineness and yield. The best position of the valve is that ensure there is no dust at the inlet. The smaller of the air volume, the finer product is. But if the air volume is too small, there will be precipitated materials in the intake-tube. Operator must pay much attention to it.

4. The adjustment of the particle size: the fineness of materials is different according to the difference of the size, hardness, moisture content, and proportion of raw materials. Adjusting the analyzer can change the fineness of products. The higher the speed is, the finer product is. Improving the fineness will reduce the yield. If only adjust the analyzer can not meet the requirement, operator can adjust the speed of the reducer together.

5. Replacement part: generally speaking, the replacement of accessories is judged according to their running time. For example, the grinding roller is replaced when it has been run for 500 hours. During the replacement, operator should clean every part in the bearing, then replace the new one, and lubricate for it.

6. Stop the Raymond mill: stop feeding first and then turn off the equipment until materials in the equipment are all ground. This procedure may be continuous about 1 minute. At last turn off the blower and analyzer.

7. Security check after running: every time after finish using the machine, operator needs to get the machine for maintenance and safety examine. Eliminate the security risk immediately after using. And as well as make detailed records about every changes and small issues of the Raymond mill.
